The Hanger – Escher Collection
This project was born from a client who asked us to redesign a simple clothes hanger. We decided to turn an everyday object into something unique by applying the rules and infinite patterns of Maurits Cornelis Escher.
Using Grok, we analyzed Escher’s geometries and impossible illusions, then translated them into a smooth and functional 3D model in Blender. From the digital file we created the first 3D-printed hanger: lightweight, strong, and with a design that appears to have no beginning or end.
We then leveraged Grok Imagine to produce emotional presentation images and dynamic videos that highlight the movement and optical effect of the piece.
A project that beautifully combines sartorial tradition, visual mathematics and modern technology — from 3D printing to AI-powered visual storytelling.
Analysis & Concept: I used Grok to deeply analyze Escher’s impossible geometries and infinite patterns, turning the initial idea into a coherent and manufacturable visual concept.
Image Creation: With Grok Imagine I generated the emotional presentation images, carefully working on composition, lighting, and visual impact to best highlight the unique design.
Still Life & Post-Production: I shot real still life photographs of the 3D-printed hanger, then enhanced and refined them using Grok Imagine to achieve a premium final result.
Emotional & Product Video: I created dynamic storytelling videos with Grok, showcasing the movement, infinite optical effect, and the emotional appeal of the product in a smooth and engaging way.

How I use Grok to create powerful images Example: From Escher’s ants to our 3D Hanger
Starting from M.C. Escher’s concept of infinity, I asked Grok to explore the idea of applying a procession of ants (inspired by his iconic works) onto our 3D-printed hanger.
First, I had Grok analyze Escher’s impossible geometries and continuous flow. Then I prompted it to imagine ants walking along the hanger as if it were a Möbius strip — ants climbing, descending, crossing each other, never ending.
Grok generated dozens of variations — some too artistic, others more realistic. I selected the strongest ones, combined them with real still life photographs of the actual 3D-printed hanger, and refined everything with iterative prompting.
The result is a striking hybrid image: it keeps the physical accuracy of the real product (3D print texture, material, natural shadows) while adding the surprising visual effect of ants in infinite motion.
This is my daily workflow: Grok doesn’t replace creativity — it amplifies it. I start from something real (the printed hanger), push it into the fantastical with Grok, and then bring it back to earth by integrating it with real product photography.
Prompt Engineering: Teaching the AI to Respect the Real Product
To achieve high-end photographic results with Grok Imagine (and other AI generators), a generic prompt is never enough. You need to educate the AI to accurately recognize and respect the physical object.
In this case, starting from our real 3D-printed Escher Hanger, we iteratively refined the prompt until Grok learned the exact shape, proportions, 3D print texture, joints, thickness and material finish of the product.
Only once the AI correctly “understood” the hanger did we push the creativity toward elevated fashion settings and styling — without ever losing fidelity to the real product
Products Image by Grok
The Savana King collection transforms a simple vase into a meaningful design piece. Each 3D-printed vase features a stylized animal face carrying a strong message of environmental awareness and respect for nature.
I use Grok Imagine constantly throughout the creative process. Starting from a basic photo box shot of the real 3D-printed vase, I feed the image into Grok and guide it with precise prompts to turn it into a professional still life ready for ecommerce and advertising.
With Grok I:
- Place the vases in evocative natural settings (savanna landscapes, jungle, dramatic African sunsets)
- Generate powerful advertising images with strong emotional impact
- Quickly explore different lighting, mood, composition and background options
This workflow allows me to maintain perfect fidelity to the physical product — accurate texture, proportions, print layers and details — while dramatically elevating the final visual in just a few iterations.
A practical example of how AI turns a simple studio shot into high-quality, emotionally compelling ecommerce and advertising imagery in a very short time.

From Grok-enhanced stills to product videos
Once I have the cinematic still life image created with Grok (starting from the raw print bed photo), I use that same image as the main reference to generate the product video.
Grok Imagine allows me to turn a single photo into short dynamic clips: moving light, subtle camera shifts, depth and cinematic atmosphere. The result is a smooth, emotionally engaging video that showcases the object while staying 100% faithful to the real 3D-printed texture, shape and details.
A fast and efficient workflow that lets me go from a quick workshop snapshot to a professional-quality product video in a very short time.
Even if my English is still at a school level and this might be the reason I won’t be selected, I want you to know that I’ll always be cheering for the xAI team from Italy.
I genuinely believe in your mission to understand the universe, and I’ll keep pushing my skills every day — because supporting people who are trying to do something truly meaningful is more important than any single job.
Thank you for your time and for building something so ambitious. I’m rooting for you all.
